וַיִּגַּ֨שׁ אֵלִיָּ֜הוּ אֶל־כָּל־הָעָ֗ם וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ עַד־מָתַ֞י אַתֶּ֣ם פֹּסְחִים֮ עַל־שְׁתֵּ֣י הַסְּעִפִּים֒ אִם־יְהוָ֤ה הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ לְכ֣וּ אַחֲרָ֔יו וְאִם־הַבַּ֖עַל לְכ֣וּ אַחֲרָ֑יו וְלֹֽא־עָנ֥וּ הָעָ֛ם אֹת֖וֹ דָּבָֽר׃
און אֵלִיָהו האָט גענענט צום גאַנצן פֿאָלק, און האָט געזאָגט: ביז װאַנען װעט איר אומשפּרינגען אױף צװײ צװײַגן? אױב ה׳ איז גאָט, גײט נאָך אים, און אױב בַעַל, גײט נאָך אים. און דאָס פֿאָלק האָט אים אַ װאָרט ניט געענטפֿערט.
